Sure it can import everything, but it doesn't update iTunes Play counts and last played dates which I care about. The legacy integration is supposed to do that, but after the first song, Audirvana plays one song, while iTunes shows a completely unrelated song is playing. Have to individually select each song that I want to play. Support ignored most of my questions in their suggestion, which didn't address any of the issues. The suggestion was not to use the legacy integration, which was the only reason I bought it.

Most notably, it keeps crashing after every library update, and the interface has way too many bugs. For example, I like having metadata permanently open and the 3. You have to collapse the window then reopen it, just to get the selected track to display.

One would think the bugs I mentioned in the last paragraph would be high priority, but who knows? There have been multiple bug fixes since 3. Documentation is non-existent, so I tried to register for the message boards and I'm still waiting for my activate user email from the admin. Even if there are ways to fix my concerns within the app, it's not making it easy for me to learn how. I do like the minimized version of the app window, with the large album art.

And when offered the option for a darker theme, I usually opt for it. Those are about the only positive things I can say about 3. Oh, and I guess sound-wise, I didn't notice any hit to performance. This weekend I took the plunge and sought out the newest 35 of Audirvanamy preferred, nay, favorite audio playback software. I like my signals unadulterated by ausirvana signal path. Installation of the update went smoothly enough. I frfe my registration key on the website and was given the new version.

Downloas immediately gave me pause, but what the hell, I figured, and clicked OK to start the process. As usual, Updatee mode and Integer mode are there so your music gets the whole device. I leave those off. Light Mode is almost pure white and probably not what you want in a dark listening room at night. Probably my favorite new addition is the inclusion of a mini window. If you shrink aduirvana a certain size, some of the buttons and text can get pushed outside the boundaries, though not always!

The Library view is probably the most jarring change in the app. Gone is the familiar multi-columned browser with drop downs for narrowing your music selection to evermore specific criteria. We have Album and Artists groupings now with nice visuals for both of them. The Tracks grouping shows every track in the library in a rather large list. You can select Genre or Artist or a number of other criteria to choose from.

I was able to maintain iTunes as the source of truth, importing and tagging files, and Audirvana just picks up the changes. Trying it out is easy and upadte. Skip to audiravna But will I love 3.
